Signals Docs
OneML reference

Disconnect

The <Disconnect> verb is a OneML extension with no TwiML equivalent. It ends OneML control of the call without hanging up: Signals stops running your document and hands the call back to the voice platform's own call flow.

A Programmable Voice call has no call flow of yours to return to. Use <Hangup> to end a call, and <Dial> or <Redirect> to move it elsewhere. Do not rely on <Disconnect> to keep a caller connected.

Attributes

<Disconnect> accepts no attributes.

Nesting

<Disconnect> is a self-closing element with no text content and no nested verbs. Verbs after <Disconnect> in the same document do not run, because control has already left the document.

Example

XMLCode
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Response> <Say>Thank you. Goodbye.</Say> <Disconnect/> </Response>
